Starting with just 25 acres, Kiri trees could deliver revenue of an estimated $2 million five years after planting. And they keep growing back for future harvests, so your extra income will keep on going.
- Trees are delivered as saplings, so they are growing before they are planted in the ground.
- Fast-growing Kiri trees are ready for harvest in as little as five years.
- Up to 325 trees can be planted on each acre.
- Each tree will deliver around 100 board feet in commercial grade timber.
- Plant once and continue to enjoy that extra revenue for a long time -Kiri trees regrow after harvesting for up to 50 years.
Working with WORTHYfutures delivers access to our Kiri tree saplings, as well as our timber customers. Guidance will be provided to each partner for how to maintain the trees and ensure an optimal harvest. We split the revenue and the costs.
- Estimated revenue for 25 acres of Kiri trees at the first harvest is estimated at $4 million –split evenly between WORTHYfutures and you.
- Partners cover the costs of planting and maintenance. These are estimated at $15,000 per acre but will fluctuate based on land location and local economy.
- WORTHYfutures covers the costs of harvest and shipping to end customers.
- Your profit after costs is estimated at $1.6 million at the first harvest, dependant on planting and maintenance costs, as well as harvest value.
Carbon credits are being incorporated into government regulations around the world. WORTHYfutures will incorporate carbon credits as a core part of business to ensure our environmental strategy remains appropriately structured throughout operations.
- Accreditation will be pursued to establish the highest market value possible, with the goal of selling excess carbon credits from the tree farm.
- WORTHYfutures will manage the accreditation process and associated costs on behalf of the entire business, inclusive of the partner program.
- You will have the choice to retain carbon credits from the trees growing on your property or opt to sell them through our centralized platform.
WORTHYfutures wants you to be successful. Partners must demonstrate key criteria to ensure logistics are aligned for a prosperous partnership.
- Demonstrated ownership of a minimum of 25 acres of unused land, which is available and appropriate for growing trees.
- Land is either a single land parcel, or in multiple properties of at least 10 acres each all within a 30-mile radius.
- Funds for purchasing 325 saplings per acre for the designated land.
- Commitment to care and management of the trees during growth years to ensure a harvest that will meet specifications for timber sales.
- Planting for a minimum of 25 acres will take place in a single season. If you are interested in dedicating 50+ acres, it may be possible to plant in sequential years.
